The Electrical Board of Examiners and Review met May 4, 2016, in the Small Conference Room
of the John G. Christy Municipal Building. The meeting was called to order by Bill Luebbert at
4:00 p.m. A quorum was present.
Approval of Minutes from the March 2, 2016 meeting.
A motion was made by Chris Bruemmer and seconded by Richard Green to approve the
minutes of the March 2, 2016 meeting. Motion passed by show of hands.
Review License Applications
• A motion was made by Jim Gooch and seconded by Ray Fink to allow Travis Graham to
take his Journeyman test. Motion passed by show of hands.
• A motion was made by Chris Bruemmer and seconded by Sam Thomas to allow Corey
Sooter to take his Journeyman test.
• A motion was made by David Steinman and seconded by Jim Gooch to allow Jeremiah
Schulte to take his Journeyman test. Motion passed by show of hands.
• A motion was made by Jim Gooch and seconded by David Steinman to allow Joseph
Stafford to take his Journeyman test. Motion passed by show of hands.
• A motion was made by David Steinman and seconded by Richard Green to deny Steve
Ferrugia to take his Journeyman test. The motion passed by show of hands.
• A motion was made by Sam Thomas and seconded by Chris Bruemmer to deny Robert
Stokes to take his Journeyman test. The motion passed by show of hands.
• Jeffery Small applied to get his Master license. A motion was made by David Steinman
and seconded by Richard Green to approve his application. The motion passed by
show of hands.
Old Business
There was none.
New Business
• There was discussion on homeowner permits and how the City Code states the
qualifications. After discussion a motion was made by Jim Gooch and seconded by
David Steinman to add this statement in Chapter 8 of the City Code under Electrical
Homeowner Permits: "Qualifications shall be determined by a test of basic knowledge of
electrical principles." The motion passed with show of hands.
• Adoption of the 2014 code was discussed.
• The Board requested a list of those who passed the Master and Journeyman exams for
the past year.

Schedule Next Meeting
The next meeting was tentatively set for July 6, 2016.

With no further business the meeting adjourned at 5:42 p.m.
