AUTHORIZING A PROFESSIONAL SERVICES CONTRACT WITH SCHOOR
DEPALMA FOR AN AREA IN NEED OF REDEVELOPMENT STUDY AND
PREPARATION OF REDEVELOPMENT PLAN- LANDFILL
REDEVELOPMENT PHASE I
WHEREAS, the Borough of Carteret is in need of professional planning services in
connection with an area in need of redevelopment study and the preparation ora
redevelopment plan for the Landfill Redevelopment Project Phase I; and
WHEREAS, the Borough's David Roberts of the engineering firm of Schoor DePalma
posses the requisite experience and expertise to provide said services; and
WHEREAS, Schoor DePlama has submitted a proposal to provide said services at a cost
not to exceed $35,000, and;
WHEREAS, the Mayor and the Council have reviewed said proposal; and;
WHEREAS, the Chief Financial Officer has certified that funds are or will be available
for said purpose.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and the Council of the
Borough of Carteret, County of Middlesex, State of New Jersey, as follows:
1. The proposal from Schoor DePalma for professional planning services related to
an area in need of redevelopment study and preparation of a redevelopment plan
for the Landfill Redevelopment Project Phase I at a cost not to exceed $35,000, to
be charged against the developer's escrow account for said project, hereby
approved;
2. This action is approved as an award of a professional services contract pursuant to
N.J.S.A 40A: 11-5(1)(a)
3. The copy of this Resolution be forwarded to the Borough's Purchasing
Department and Schoor DePalma.

and certified as a true copy of the
original on May 7, 2004.
