RESOLUTION OF APPRECIATION
AMOCO OIL TERMINAL FIRE
MARCH 7, 199S
WHEREAS, on March 7, 1995, a major industrial fire occurred at the Amoco Oil
Terminal in the Borough of Carteret; and
WHEREAS, due to the prompt and professional response by the Emergency
Personnel in the Borough of Carteret and neighboring communities, a major
catastrophe was averted; and
WHEREAS, it is right and just to acknowledge the outstanding work and sacrifices
of the Emergency Person;
- NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and Council of the
Borough of Carteret extend their heartfelt appreciation to the men and women of the
Borough of Carteret and neighboring communities who responded to the Amoco Oil
Terminal fire on March 7, 1995.
Adopted this 16th day of March, 1995
and certified as a true copy of the
original on March 17, 1995.
