A RESOLUTION AMENDING THE CITY OF MOAB BUSINESS LICENSE FEE SCHEDULE
WHEREAS, State of Utah regulations require Cities to establish their business license fee schedule
based on actual costs incurred for providing selected types of services to the business community; and
WHEREAS, the City of Moab conducted a cost analysis of services provided to Moab businesses; and
WHEREAS, the City of Moab has created a business license fee schedule based on that analysis; and
WHEREAS, the City desires to revise the fee schedule in order to disaggregate selected fees and clarify
the categories of licenses;
NOW, THEREFORE, WE, THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE CITY OF MOAB RESOLVE TO
AMEND THE CITY OF MOAB BUSINESS LICENSE FEE STRUCTURE AS FOLLOWS:

Any business conducting business prior to obtaining the proper licensing shall be assessed 200% of the
appropriate licensing fees upon licensing application.
Surcharge and license fees are cumulative.

If more than one business is being conducted at the same location by the same applicant (excluding
alcohol licenses), the highest applicable business license fee will be charged.
This resolution shall take effect immediately upon passage for all new licenses and upon renewals for
existing licenses.
Passed and adopted by action of the Governing Body of Moab City in open session this
14th day of March 2006.
