HomeMy Public PortalAboutResolution 00-25 Special City Election RESOLUTION 00-25 Proclaiming A Special City Election A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF MCCALL, IDAHO PROCLAIMING A SPECIAL CITY ELECTION TO BE HELD ON FEBRUARY 6, 2001, DESIGNATING THE POLLING PLACE, DESIGNATING THE REGISTRAR AND DEPUTY REGISTRARS, AND ORDERING THE CITY CLERK TO GIVE NOTICE OF SUCH ELECTION. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MCCALL, IDAHO THAT: Section 1: The Special City Election will be held in and for the City of McCall, Idaho on the 6th day of February 2001, at which time there will be a Local Option Tax Election. Section 2: The polling place of the McCall Precinct which is the sole precinct for the City of McCall shall be: Lower Level, McCall City Hall, 216 East Park Street, McCall, Idaho. The polls shall be open for the purpose of voting from 8:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. .Section 3~ The registrars and deputy registrars for this election shall be: Registrar: Cathleen Koch Deputy Registrars: Jean Allen Karen Fries Amanda Townsend Linda Stokes Consuelo Blake Section 4: The City Clerk, for and on behalf of the Mayor and Council, shall give public notice of the time and place of holding such Special City Election by posting such notice in three public places and publishing such notice in at least two issues of the Star News, a newspaper printed and published in the City of McCall, Idaho and the official newspaper thereof. The first publication of the notice so published shall be not less than 45 days prior to the date of such City Election and the last publication not less thanl5 days prior to the date of such City Election; the notice so published shall state the polling place and the hours during which the polls shall be open for the purpose of voting. Said notice to contain such information in accordance with the requirements of Idaho Code § 50-436. PASSED AND APPROVED this 14th day of December 2000. ATT~vST: ~ath-'Ieen A.
