I have set up a meeting with Jose Ortega, from CDC builders, to analyze the current design of the bus shelters/shade pavilions to see if modification will bring the construction costs within range. This exercise will also help us determine the most cost effective design for the proposed bandstand as presented in the Charrette and referred to in your May28th letter. 2. I will also ask the Grand Bay Companies to give us a breakdown of the pavilion they will be building at the intersection of East Heather Drive and Crandon Boulevard. This pavilion will be built to reflect the original bus shelter design sketch and may be a suitable prototype for the proposed bus shelters. 3. Concurrently, I will assemble costs of prefabricated Pavilions/Bus Shelters that may be presented to Council as an alternative. I believe that presenting the Village Council with a range of costs and design options will help define the project parameters and allow us to move forward with a clear direction.
