A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF McCALL, IDAHO,
REGARDING THE SUSPENSION OF THE OPEN CONTAINER ORDINANCE FOR
SPECIFIED TIMES AND LOCATIONS.
WHEREAS, the McCall Area Chamber of Commerce and the McCall Brewing
Company ("the Sponsors") are sponsoring Brews and Grooves, ("the Event") to be held
on September 22 and 23, 2000; and
WHEREAS, the Sponsors have or will have obtained liability insurance, security
services, and permits for the Event; and
WHEREAS, the Council finds a temporary and limited suspension of the open
container ordinance would be in the public interest and would further McCall's economic
well-being or development.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF McCALL THAT:
Section 1. The property more commonly known as the Central Idaho Cultural Center, as
displayed on the attached site map, ("the Premises") is the only authorized as
site for the Event
Section 2. The provisions of McCall City Code 5-5-030(F), prohibiting the possession of
an open container of an alcoholic beverage, are hereby suspended within the
Premises described above.
Section 3. This resolution shall be in effect only on September 22, 2000, between the
hours of 4:00 PM and 10:00 PM and on September 23, 2000, between the
hours of 2:00 PM and 10:00 PM only after the obtaining of catering permit(s)
or Section 23-1007(A)(2) permit(s) for this activity and the furnishing to the
City Clerk of a certificate of insurance naming the City as an additional
insured in an amount subject to the discretion of the Clerk.
Section 4. Beverages purchased within the premises must be consumed within the
premises.
Section 5. In the event the Sponsors fail to confine the consumption of alcoholic
beverages to Premises, the Police Chief may order the Event to be closed, and
such suspension of the open container ordinance to be revoked.
