HomeMy Public PortalAboutTOL PR 2011-10-06 Hammler elected Town Section Chair Town of Leesburg News Release For Immediate Release Leesburg Town Council Member Katie Hammler Elected As Virginia Municipal League Town Section Chair Leesburg, VA (October 6, 2011) – At the Virginia Municipal League (VML) annual conference in Henrico County this week, Leesburg Town Council Member Katie Hammler was unanimously elected by Towns throughout the Commonwealth as the Town Section Chair of the VML Executive Committee. Ms. Hammler also currently serves as chair of VML’s Community and Economic Policy Committee and is a member of VML’s Legislative Committee. “I am sincerely honored that the Town voting members elected me to represent their interests on VML's Executive Committee,” said Ms. Hammler. “I would particularly like to thank Lovettsville Mayor Elaine Walker, Vienna Mayor Jane Seeman, and Purcellville Mayor Bob Lazaro for their support.
