The design of the clock tower as presented durmg the Village Design
Charrette offers a unique opportunity for an equitable and aesthetic improvement
to the Village Center. We have had initial conversations with PrimeCo Personal
Communications who have shown great interest in obtaining space in the Village
clock tower for cellular antenna placement. BellSouth mobility has also
expressed interest in such a facility.
As discussed earlier, we may be able to achieve a design that will
accommodate up to three carriers. PrimeCo representatives have requested
permission to conduct a test session in which a crane will be brought out to the
site to test best signal location and height.
We will work together with the industry to coordinate the initial design
and location for maximum efficiency. After the preliminary design decisions
have been made, we will present preliminary cost and projected revenues to
Council for discussion.
