RESOLUTION NO. 94-125 ADOPTED June 14, 1994
A RESOLUTION: AUTHORIZING A CONTRACT WITH JONES & FRANK CORPORATION FOR
UNDERGROUND STORAGE TANK REPLACEMENT
WHEREAS, replacement of the underground fuel storage tank (UST) at the Airport Sewage
Pumping Station is necessary to comply with new federal and state regulations, effective December 81,
1994; and
WHEREAS, this project was duly advertized and a public bid opening held pursuant to state and
local purchasing laws; and
WHEREAS, a single bid was received from Jones and Frank Corporation, in the amount of
$16,549.00, in compliance with published bid documents; and
WHEREAS, staff has determined this bid to be responsive and the contractor (bidder) to be
responsible in prior work performance;
THEREFORE RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia as follows:
SECTION I. The town manager is hereby directed to execute an agreement with Jones & Frank
Corporation in the amount of $16,549.00 for replacement of the existing UST at the Airport Sewage
Pumping Station in accordance with published plans and specifications.
SECTION II. An appropriation is hereby made to utility account #306.8140.700.788 from the
unappropriated Utility Fund balance in the amount of $8,550.00.
