Call to Order Chairman Klindt called the meeting to order at 2:00 p.m. in the Small Conference Room of City Hall. A quorum was present. 2. Introductions Introductions were made. Chairman Klindt explained that the Steering Committee members will be Chair and Vice Chair for all the technical sub-committees for uniformity and communication. 3. Technical Sub-Committee Expectations – What is Expected from the Sub- Committee? The following expectations were discussed. a. The length of code review time was discussed. The entire process would possibly be 12 to 18 months. b. The product produced by the sub-committee would be an ordinance to adopt the code with amendments. c. The review process could follow like a college course where chapters are assigned for home review and then discussed at meetings. d. The physical form of code material was reviewed. The committee decided that they would like hard copies or books of the code and Commentary. Best available prices were to be researched. e. Discussion was held about differences from the previous version of the code. Materials are available from different sources. Since this is the first time for a code review, however, it might be more informative to look at the code in its entirety. f. The committee decided that they would meet from 2 pm to 4 pm on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of the month. 4. Technical Sub-Committee Reports – What Should be Reported Back and in What Form? The only report back would be a proposed ordinance. 5. What is Necessary to Update the Steering Committee from the Sub-Committee? The Chair and Vice Chair would relay information and minutes of the meetings would be provided. Public Comments No one outside of the sub-committee attended the meeting. 8. Next Meeting Date The next meeting date was set for Wednesday, April 6, 2016 from 2 pm to 4 pm. 9. Adjourn With no further business, the meeting adjourned at 3:15 pm.
