SPECIAL MEETING

CITY OF TEMPLE CITY
TEMPLE CITY CALIFORNIA
JULY 19, 1965
The Special 'Meeting of the City Council was called to order
by Mayor Harker at 7:35 P. M.
ROLL CALL:
PRESENT: Councilmen- Merritt, Nunamaker, Tyrell, Harker
ABSENT: Counci lman -D ickason
ALSO PRESENT: Acting City Manager Koski
As this was a joint meeting with the Planning Commission for
study the following subjects were discussed and recommendations made
by the Planning Commission:
a. Height Limit on Structures. A discussion followed con-
cerning this subject and an ordinance was proposed with
a maximum height limit of 35 ft. which ordinance would
terminate December 31, 1965. In the interim more study
would be made of the problem.
b. Appeal Procedures on Variances. The Planning Commission
stated in certain cases there were presentations made
by the applicant of new plans and new, facts not pre -
viously reviewed by the Planning Commission. It was
suggested that Ordinance No. 65 -167 be. amended. The
staff was instructed to make amendments in accordance
for further discussion.
c. 4hitnall Agreements A discussion was held with reference
to possible renegotiation of the Agreement with the.
Whitnall consulting firm. This subject will be discussed
further at a future study session.
At this tLi e the joint session of the Council and Planning
Commission was ac ourned and the Planning Commission excused themselves
to their own study s i on. Time of adjournment 8:40 P . M.
Mayor ,arker re-convened the Council for the purpose of re-
viewing proposed Annexation # 8. At this time the Council reviewed the
staff proposals es to future action.
The Council adjourned at 9:45 P. M. to the regular .meeting,
of July 20, 1965, in the Council Chambers of the City Hall, at 7:,O
5938 Kauffman Ave., Temple City.
