A meeting of the Board of Equalization was called at SOO eteleck.P,M,,
Monday, July.19, 1954 to'consider tare Village Tax Roll for the period'of
January 1, 1954 to December 31, 1954.
- There were presents. Dr. G. N. Leonard, Mayor; W. H. Webb, Tax..Assessox
and Mary Wetterer, Village Clerk.
The Board was informed that a notice;had.been posted at the Tillage
Hall, Fire Station and Saver"Station from July 1, 1954 to July 19, 1954,,a
period. of nineteen days, informing all. property owners that the tentative tax
assessment roll could be seen in the.Assessor's office,
•Mies,Haleen N. Boyd, owner of Lot 5 Block 9, of the Residential Seetion
of Mal Harbour, appeared and inquired about her assessment for 1964 end what
the taxes would amount to. Sir. Webb explained that he had talked with Mrs.
Boyd and that he had told her the assessment had been changed due to a slight
change in the original plans for the house.
As there were no:other taxpayers or complaints to come before the Board
the meeting was adjourned.

The Council of Bat Harbour Village met for a Special Meeting on Monday,
August 2, 1954, at 8:00 o'clock P. M.
There were present Dr. Leonard and Messrs.
Absent: Messrs, Brown and Stokely
The minutes of the meeting of June 21, 1954 were accepted as read. The
minutes of the Board of Equalization Meeting held July 19, 1954 were read and
On motion of Mr. Beatty, seconded by Mr. Collins the action taken was imanimously
accepted by the council.

The audit for the first nine months operation was submitted to the
council and after consideration on motion of Mr. Collins, seconded by Mr. Beatty,
the audit was unanimously accepted,
