AWARD OF PROFESSIONAL SERVICES CONTRACT PURSUANT
TO THE LOCAL PUBLIC CONTRACT LAWS
WHEREAS, there exists a need for professional services to perform appraisal
services for Block 5.01, Lot 1.00 and Block 5.01, Lot 2; and ,
WHEREAS, pursuant to NJ.S.A. 40A: 11-5(1)(a) professional services are exempt
from the requirements of competitive bidding; and
WHEREAS, the local Finance Officer has certified that funds are available;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and Council of the
Borough of Carteret do does hereby appoint Arthur Gross, S.C.G.R.E.A. at a rate
of $1,000.00 per parcel, not to exceed $2,500.00 and directs the Mayor to execute
said contract.
· BE IT FURTltER RESOLVED that the Contract is awarded without competitive
bids in accordance with NJ.S.A 40A:11-5 (1)(a) due to the specialized and
professional nature 6f the services provided.
BE IT FURTItER RESOLVED that a notice of this action shall be printed once in
The News Tribune on April 11, 1995.
