AWARD OF PROFESSIONAL SERVICES CONTRACT PURSUANT
TO THE LOCAL PUBLIC CONTRACT LAWS
WHEREAS, there exists a need for professional services to perform appraisals on
various parcels of Real Estate within the Borough of Carteret for use for land sale;and
WHEREAS, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A: l 1-5(l)(a) professional services are exempt
from the requirements of competitive bidding; and
WHEREAS, the local Finance Officer has certified that funds are available;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and Council of the
Borough of Carteret do does hereby appoint Arthur Gross, S.C.G.R.E.A. at a rate
-- not to exceed $6,200.00 in accordance with the attached proposal and directs the
Mayor to execute said contract.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the contract is awarded without competitive
bids in accordance with N.JS.A 40A:1l-5 (1)(a) due to the specialized and
professional nature o{the services provided.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a notice of this action shall be printed once in
The News Tribune on April 11, 1995.
