Home My Public Portal About06 - 2019-6 - SALARIES FOR EMPLOYEES 10/7/2019 • ORDINANCE 2019-6 AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING THE SIZE OF THE DEPARTMENTS OF CITY GOVERNMENT OF THE CITY OF GREENCASTLE,INDIANA,FIXING SALARIES FOR THE EMPLOYEES OF SUCH DEPARTMENTS AND FIXING THE SALARIES OF CERTAIN OTHER APPOINTED OFFICIALS FOR THE YEAR 2020 SECTION ONE: That the City of Greencastle shall pay all eligible employees 26 bi-weekly pays effective with pay date beginning January 10,2020 at the rates listed in SECTION TWO, below. In addition,all eligible full-time members of the departments of the City of Greencastle shall be paid longevity pay,calculated at a percentage of their base pay,beginning on the first day of the anniversary month of employment as follows: Months of Completed Employment Percentage of Pay Date of hire through 35 months(2 years, 11 months) 0% 36 months through 71 months(5 years, 11 months) 3% 72 months through 131 months(10 years, 11 months) 4% 132 months through 167 months(13 years, 11 months) 5% 168 months or more 6% Full-time members shall be compensated for authorized overtime in accordance with the Fair Labor Standard Act,29 U.S.C.A.207. That the City of Greencastle shall contribute a total of$736 to each employee's HSA account on a semi-annual basis if they are enrolled in the City's Health Insurance Benefit. CITY BONUS:An amount up to one thousand dollars($1,000.00)may be paid to all full-time employee as a bonus. The ability to pay and the amount will be determined by the Greencastle Common Council and the Mayor. If the bonus is granted it will be paid in the first pay period of December. Any newly hired full time employees must have worked for the city at least ninety(90) days and the bonus will be prorated by months worked. SECTION TWO: That the Police Department shall consist of,up to,nineteen(19)full-time members,(1)one part-time clerical and,five(5)part-time crossing guards.
