RESOLUTION NO. 3-2-95
WHEREAS; the Board of Trustees of the To~ of Fraser ~ reviewed the issues concerning the.
possible dissolution of the 'Moffat Tunnel:C6mrnission, and;
WHEREAS, the Board of Trustees of the Town of Fraser recognizes that a major issue fadng the
Western slope in future growth planning is transportation, both loc~.and regionally,
WHEREAS" THE MOFFAT TUNNEL COMMISSION can' best serVe the .Counties that form this
District wiih. regards to solutio~' to the problems facing our Districts, likewise providing the best I
. seMce to the State of Colorado; : . . '. . .
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE TOWN
OF FRASER, COLORADO THAT the Town 'of Fraser respectfully request that HoUse Bill 95-
1297 not be, approved by the House.

We believe that the existing Commission can f.1cilitntc the future of this turme1 most adequately
once given a vision of future potential uses. We can not even begin to imagine the possible
potential of tlus tmmel to our future and would 1I0t like it to be given to
CDOT. It appears that they have enough monumental tasks ahead of them,
