FedConsulting, Inc. Celebrates 20th Anniversary and Moves
Forward as FCi Federal
New company name reflects growth from boutique consulting firm
to major federal contractor
Leesburg, VA (October 21, 2011) – Leesburg-based
FedConsulting, Inc., which celebrated its 20th anniversary on
October 15, 2011, has rebranded the business as FCi
Federal. The new name reflects the company’s growth from
a one-person consulting boutique to a major federal
contractor nearly 1,000 employees operating in 19 states
and 2 territories at 53 geographically dispersed locations.
Founded in 1991, FedConsulting, Inc. provided marketing
and opportunity pursuit support to companies doing
business with the federal government or wanting to enter
the federal market. In 2002, the company made the
decision to exit that market and start pursuing its own direct contracts with the federal
government. Over the last three years, the company’s revenue has grown from $2 million to
over $40 million, with projections of $60 million for 2012.
The firm’s new www.FCiFederal.com website provides key information about the firm and its
services to federal government agencies, as well as company and industry news and thought
leadership resources via its blog. Company officials stress the user-friendliness of the website
as a reflection of their customer-focused corporate culture.
“Although our roots go back two decades to our founding in 1991 as a one-person boutique, we
have undergone a total transformation in the last few years,” said FCi Federal president, Sharon
Virts Mozer. “With nearly 1,000 people all over the country providing a wide range of services,
we knew we needed an online presence that more accurately reflected the scale, scope and
depth of resources and expertise we have to offer.”
