Limits of and Approval of Agenda: Mr. Wayne Lee moved to accept this request and approve the agenda, which was seconded by Mr. Frank Underwood. The motion carried. Approval of Minutes: Mr. Royal Spiedel moved to approve the minutes dated, January 26th, 2016. His motion was seconded by Mr. Wayne Lee. The motion carried. UNAPPROVED12016 4) Transit Administration Report (Transit Director Mark Mehmert) **Power Point Presentation a) JEFFTRAN stats Mr. Mehmert provided a presentation, reviewing some of JEFFTRAN's statistics. Specifically, Mr. Mehmert addressed: • Handiwheels ridership: 55,000+ annually • JEFFTRAN's fare structure • An overview of JEFFTRAN's FY2016 budget • A ridership report, indicating overall ridership was -4.3% from FY2014 to FY2015, with a total of 313,750 trips in FY2015 b) Update: Summer Student Pass Promotion JEFFTRAN Administration is working to finalize the summer student pass. The pass will be available to children ages 6-17 years of age and valid from May 1st to August 17th, 2016. Admin will begin working with local schools, and promote through social media, and local news tribune. This promotion has been partnered with Parks and Recreation and also advertised in their 2016 Spring/Summer Program and Facilities Guide. Mr. Bill Marshall expressed the importance of training for transit drivers to handle potential security situations with youths. c) Lincoln University pass discussion Transit Director Mehmert and Operations Supervisor Stegeman met with Misty Young, Director Community Relations on February 18th, 2016 to discuss the consideration of a Lincoln University Pass. Three new Handi-wheel are delivered and already in the fleet from FTA's Section 5310 program=, which is administered by MoDOT. TRANSIT has also applied for two more additional buses through this program. 5) Agenda request Form The proposed agenda request form was reviewed and discussed by the committee. Mr. Wayne Lee moved to approve the form. His motion was seconded by Dr. Bill Marshall. 6) Potential Discussion Items On January 26th, 2016, at the Public Transit Advisory Committee meeting an item was brought forth to the committee with concerns of bus stop signage(s) on West Truman/Industrial Drive. One area of concern has been evaluated by Operations Supervisor Gerry Stegeman. Public Works / Street Department will work to place signage in one area, however; one additional area is still under review. 7) Public Comments: Ashley Varner, representative for CRMC spoke briefly in regards to her position at CRMC. One of Ashley's job duties is work to provide public transportation for patients. Ashley UNAPPROVED I2o16 very much appreciates TRANSIT and applauded P -TAC for their commitment and efforts towards TRANSIT/JEFFTRAN. 8) Adjourn Mr. Wayne Lee moved to adjourn meeting at 2:37 p.m., seconded by Mr. Bill Case. The motion passed unanimously.
