Rescheduled Regular Session
February 20, 2007 7:00 P.M. Greencastle City Hall
Call to Order; Roll Call
A. Mayor Michael called the regular meeting of the Common Council of the City of
Greencastle to order at 7:01 PM
B. Roll Call; John Lanie, Tom Roach, Bob Sedlack, Russ Evans, present, Mark
Hammer absent
II. Public Hearing — Ordinance 2007 -1 — An Ordinance Approving the Vacation of an
Alleyway Between Hanna Street and Elm Street Located in the City of Greencastle,
Putnam County, Indiana
A. Mayor Michael opened the Public Hearing at 7:02 PM. Shannon Norman
addressed this issue. Norman shared that all parties involved were contacted
as well as utilities. No comments. Public hearing closed at 7:05 PM

A. None
IV. Public Petitions and Comments
A. Melvin Gaston, Anderson Street, asked to speak regarding parking on
Anderson on the wrong side of the street all night for two weeks at 427
Anderson Street. This is causing a problem for traffic and for the snow removal.
Chief Sutherlin will investigate.
V. Approval of Minutes
A. Regular Meeting January 9, 2006
1. Motion by Bob Sedlack to approve as presented, second by John Lanie,
unanimous approval.
VI. Approval of City Claims
A. Motion by Russ Evans to approve claims as presented, second by Tom Roach,
unanimous approval.

A. None
VIII. New Business
® A. Smoke Free Community Discussion
1. Mayor Michael began this discussion with comments on where this issue
evolved from.

Hardwick, Attorney to sign for this project with Vectren, unanimous
O approval. Noted that Steve Jones and his family donated property for lift
station.

A. Mayor's Report
B. Clerk- Treasurer's Report
C. Set Special Joint meeting with Greencastle Township Trustee, Advisory Board,
Council to develop Capital Plan for Fire Service.
1. Mayor will check with trustee and advisory board to schedule a meeting
tentatively in March.
D. Councilors
1. John Lanie shared appreciation about emails from Mayor regarding
weekly department head meetings.

A. Motion by Russ Evans, second by John Lanie to adjourn at 10:15 PM,
unanimous approval.
