AUTHORIZING ENTERING INTO CONTRACTS WITH DIAMOND RIO AND
TOBY KEITH AT THE COUNTRY WESTERN MUSIC SHOW
WHEREAS, the Parks and Recreation Department will be conducting a Country Western Music
Show at Ida Lee Park on June 11, 1995; and
WHEREAS, the show is expected to draw at least 12,000 spectators; and
WHEREAS, Diamond Rio and Toby Keith have been selected to perform with Jeff Foxworthy
at the Country Music Show; and
WHEREAS, through East Coast Entertainment, the department has negotiated performance
prices of $44,000 for Diamond Rio and $22,000 for Toby Keith; and
WHEREAS, on April 4, 1995, the Council's Finance Committee recommended approval to enter
into the contracts:
THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg as follows:
The Town Manager is authorized to enter into contracts with Diamond Rio for $44,000 and Toby
Keith for $22,000 to perform at the Country Western Music Show.
