A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY.
OF TEMPLE' CITY, CALIFORNIA, ORDERING THE CITY
ENGINEER TO PREPARE AN ASSESSMENT DIAGRAM
PLANS, SPECIFICATIONS, ESTIMATE AND REPORT
PURSUANT TO THE PROVISIONS OF DIVISION 14,
PART 1, STREETS AND. HIGHWAYS CODE, STREET
LIGHTING ACT OF 1919, AS AMENDED, FOR THE
INSTALLATION OF, FOR THE FURNISHING OF
ELECTRIC CURRENT, AND FOR THE MAINTENANCE
OF CERTAIN LIGHTING FIXTURES AND APPLIANCES
IN SAID CITY.
WHEREAS, the public convenience and necessity require
and it is the intention of the City Council of the City of
Temple City to order the installation of, the furnishing of
electric current for, the the maintenance of such lighting
fixtures and appliances in the City of Temple City; and
WHEREAS, proceedings for such proposed improvement will
be taken pursuant to the provisions of Division 14, Part 1,
Streets and Highways Code, Street Lighting Act of 1919, as
amended; and
WHEREAS, it is contemplated that the initial contract
period for such furnishing of electric current for and the
maintenance of such lighting fixtures and appliances shall
be for a twenty -year period; • and
WHEREAS, the provisions of said Division 14, Part 1,
require a written report concerning such proposed improvement;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE
CITY DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That the City Engineer be and he is hereby
ordered to prepare a written report pursuant to the pro-
visions of Chapters 3 and 8.5, Division 14, Part 1, Streets
and Highways Code, as amended, for the installation of,
maintenance of, and the furnishing of electric current for
the lighting of, the various fixtures and appliances upon
various and certain public streets, avenues, ways, drives
and places within said City, to be known and designated
as Temple City,.C:ight.ing.Dis.trict.
The furnishing of electric current and the
maintenance of fixtures and appliances herein contemplated
shall be for a period of twenty (20) years to commence and
end as determined by the City Council, set forth in Section
18062 of the Streets and Highways Code, and shall incorporate
such changes and adjustments either in facilities and fixtures
or the locations thereof and maintenance or current to be
furnished as the requirements of said period of twenty (20)
years may reasonably indicate.
SECTION 2. That the said written report shall be
filed with the City Clerk, who shall present it to the
City Council for its consideration.

SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the adop-
tion of this Resolution.
