AUTHORIZING THE CLOSING OF NORTH KING STREET FROM
NORTH OF THE KING AND MARKET INTERSECTION TO NORTH
STREET FOR THE ROAD TO ANTIETAM
WHEREAS, Town Council previously authorized the dosing of Market and King Streets for "The
Road to Antietam" on May 13 and 14, 1995; and
WHEREAS, due to negative impact on downtown restaurants on May 14, Mother's Day, the
Loudoun Museum has agreed to conduct the event on North King Street from north of the King and
Market intersection to North Street.
THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia as follows:
SECTION I. Resolution 95-11 is hereby rescinded.
SECTION II. Authorization is hereby granted to close North King Street from north of the King
and Market intersection to North Street from 9:00 P.M. Friday, May 12, until 9:00 P.M. Sunday, May
14, 1995.
SECTION III. Authorization is hereby granted to make the Cornwall Street block from King to
Wirt Street and from King to Church Street two-way for the duration of the event.
