A RESOLUTION:
AUTHORIZING THE SPONSORSHIP OF THE CEMETERY PROJECTS
COMMITTEE BY THE THOMAS BALCH LIBRARY
WHEREAS, the Cemetery Projects Committee searches for abandoned cemeteries throughout
Loudoun County to record ancestral information; and
WHEREAS, the Cemetery Projects Committee requests affiliation with the Thomas Balch
Library for historical and genealogical purposes; and
WHEREAS, the Cemetery Projects Committee has requested and received endorsement of the
Library Advisory Commission for sponsorship by the Thomas Balch Library:
THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia as follows:
SECTION I. Approval of sponsorship by the Thomas Balch Library is hereby granted.
SECTION II. The Town Manager shall insure proper indemnification is obtained from the
Cemetery Projects Committee as approved by the Town Attorney.
