AWARDING CONTRACT FOR A TRUCK EXHAUST SYSTEM- FIRE DEPARTMENT
WHEREAS, the Borough of Carteret is in need of a Truck Exhaust System for the Fire
Department; and
WHEREAS, the Borough Purchasing Agent has solicited and received one (1) bid proposal for
said system as follows:
1. Air Purifiers Inc. $65,856.00

Rockaway, NJ 07866
WHEREAS, Air Purifiers has submitted the only bid for said system as evidenced by the
response on file with the Borough Purchasing A gent; and
WHEREAS, the Borough Purchasing Agent and Fire Chief have reviewed the above bid
proposal and has recommended the award of a contract to Air Purifiers; and
WHEREAS, the chief financial officer has certified that funds are or will be available for said
purpose.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the Borough of
Carteret as follows:
1. That the appropriate Borough Officials are hereby authorized to enter into a
contract with Air Purifiers Inc. for the purchase of a track exhaust system for the
sum of $65,856.00 accordance in all respects with the request for proposals and
bid on same.
Adopted this 17th day of June, 2004
and certified as a true copy of the
original on June 18, 2004.
