A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF TEMPLE CITY, CALIFORNIA, APPOINT-
ING A TIME AND PLACE FOR HEARING PROTESTS
IN RELATION TO THE PROPOSED IMPROVEMENT
REFERRED TO IN RESOLUTION OF INTENTION NO.
68 -872 AND DIRECTING THE CLERK OF SAID
CITY COUNCIL TO GIVE NOTICE OF SAID HEARING.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Temple City,
California, did in Resolution No. 68 -870 of said Council,
adopted November 19, 1968, pursuant to the provisions of the
"Street Lighting Act of 1919" of the State of California
(Part 1, Division 14 of Streets and Highways Code of the
State of California) as amended, order the City Engineer of
said City to make and file with the Clerk of said Council a
report in writing presenting certain matters relating to a
proposed lighting installation, maintenance and service
district in said City; and
WHEREAS, the City Engineer, pursuant to said Resolution
No. 68 -870 and of said law, did make and on the 19th day of
November, 1968, file in the office of the City Clerk of said
City, his report in writing relating to the proposed lighting
installation, maintenance and service district in said City;
and
WHEREAS, the said City Council has proceeded to carefully
examine, inspect and consider the said report, and is satis-
fied with said report and with each and all of the various
items thereof and the matters therein set forth; and
WHEREAS, the City Council did in Resolution No. 68 -871
approve said report on the 19th day of November, 1968;. and
WHEREAS, after the approval of said report, said City
Council on the 19th day of November, 1968, did adopt its
Resolution of Intention No. 68 -872 declaring its intention
to order certain lighting standards, fixtures and appliances
on certain streets and public places to be installed, main-
tained and electric current to be furnished for lighting
said fixtures, said installation to occur as soon as reason-
ably possible and lawful following the approval of the
district and said furnishing of electric current and
maintenance to be for an initial contract period of 20
years commencing July 1, 1969; and
WHEREAS, it now becomes the duty of this Council to
appoint a time and place for hearing protests in relation
to the proposed improvement referred to in said Resolution
of Intention No. 68 -872 and to direct the giving of notice
of said hearing;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY,
CALIFORNIA, DOES HEREBY RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE AND
ORDER AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That Tuesday, the 17th day of December,
1968, at the hour of 7:30 o'clock P.M. of said day, be and
the same is hereby appointed as the time, and the Council
Chamber in the City Hall of said City of Temple City,

5938 North Kauffman, Temple City, California, is hereby
appointed as the place for hearing protests in reference to
the said proposed improvement.
SECTION 2. That the Street Superintendent is hereby
authorized, designated and directed to give notice by
posting of said hearing in the time, form and manner as
required by law.
SECTION 3. The City Clerk is hereby authorized,
designated and directed to give notice by publication and
other manner if required in the time, form and manner
required by law.
SECTION 4. That the Temple City Time, a newspaper of
general circulation, published and circulated within said
City of Temple City, California is hereby designated as
the newspaper in which such notice shall be published.
SECTION 5. That the City Clerk shall certify to the
passage and adoption of this Resolution.

at a regular meeting held on the 19th day of November,
1968, by the following vote of the Council:
