AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE 2009 -11, AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING THE
SIZE OF THE DEPARTMENTS OF CITY GOVERNMENT OF THE CITY OF GREENCASTLE,
INDIANA, FIXING SALARIES FOR THE EMPLOYEES OF SUCH DEPARTMENTS AND FIXING
THE SALARIES OF CERTAIN OTHER APPOINTED OFFICIALS FOR THE YEAR 2010
WHEREAS, Ordinance 2009 -11 established the salaries for employees ofthe City of Greencastle for
the year 2010;
WHEREAS, the City will have salary allocations that will not be spent by the end of 2010;
WHEREAS, employees received no increase in salary for the year 2009 and a small increase in their
yearly salary for 2010, and the City wishes to supplement those salaries.
NOW THEREFORE be it ordained by the Common Council of the City of Greencastle that it hereby
amends Ordinance 2009 -11 to raise the salary of each employee listed in that Ordinance, who has been
employed on a full -time basis since January 1, 2010, by $550.00. Thesalaries for all full -time employees hired
after January 1, 2010 and all part -time employees that regularly work at least twenty hours per week, twelve
months per year shall be increased by $275.00. This increase shall apply to salaries for 2010 only and shall not
be added to each employee's base salary for the purpose of salary calculations for following years.
This Ordinance shall have full force and effect upon passage of the Greencastle Common Council and
its approval by the Mayor.
