Police Personnel Board
Minutes—May 25, 2016
The meeting was called to order at 12:06 p.m.
Nine persons attended as follows:

Following greetings, roll call was taken.
Approval of April 7, 2016 minutes
It was moved by Trowbridge and seconded by Burton that the minutes for the April 7, 1016 board meeting be approved.
The motion was carried unanimously.
Old Business
Appreciation Luncheon-Mr. Derks discussed the luncheon that the Personnel had on May 5th, 2016 and its success. He
thanked everyone involved for their help in making it a success.
New Business
Review of Police Officer and Communications Operator Testing
Mr. Derks initiated a discussion on the testing that was recently completed and the format of the tests and it was
decided to stay with the same format and not to lower the passing grade for future testing.
Sara Trittler discussed the surveys that were collected from applicants, i.e. how the applicant found out about the
openings, and discussed different ways that were used to get the word out about the openings within the department.
Begin Closed Session - (see closed session minutes for details)
A motion was made by Dillon and seconded by Turner at 12:22 p.m. for the Police Personnel Board to go into closed
session pursuant to RSMo. 610-021; the motion passed. (Chief Schroeder, Lt. Stiefermann, and Sara Trittler remained
for the ensuing discussion.) Roll call vote was as follows:
Rick Derks – yes Lisa Turner – yes Wesley Dickman - yes
Bill Burton – yes Kelly Dillon-yes Rob Trowbridge – yes
End Closed Session –
A motion was made by Dillon and seconded by Turner for the Police Personnel Board to come out of closed session at
1:10 p.m.; the motion passed. Roll call was as follows:
Rick Derks – yes Lisa Turner – yes Wesley Dickman - yes
Bill Burton – yes Kelly Dillon-yes Rob Trowbridge – yes
Next meeting date – August 4th, 2016
It was moved by Dillon and seconded by Dickman for meeting to adjourn. The meeting was adjourned at 1:13 p.m.
