Call to Order Chair Larry Brandhorst called the meeting to order at 9:35 am. 2. Review and Approve minutes of the June 1, 2016 meeting The committee approved the minutes for June 1 and May 18, 2016. The May 18th minutes needed approval due to an incorrect public meeting posting. 3. Old Business — Review list of proposed amendments The committee was asked to review the proposed amendments attached to the meeting minutes. The review was only to confirm the list of proposed Sections, and not the verbiage at this time. 4. Continue review of Chapter 4, starting at Section 419. Start review of Chapters 5 and 6. Review started at Section 419. Section 420.5 was deferred for determination for Group R fire sprinkler requirements. It was noted that Section 423 for Storm Shelters need reviewing by the Building Official for E occupancies to determine if additions were required to comply per ICC 500. The committee started reviewing Chapter 5 and noted the new tables to aid in building area and height. Review stopped at Section 508. The committee will start at Section 509. 5. New Business No new business was discussed. 6. Public Comments None were made. 7. Next Meeting Date? "' July 6th? The next meeting date will be July 6, 2016. 8. Adjourn The meeting adjourned at 11:35 am Proposed Amendments to the 2015 International Building Code: 1. Section 305.2.3 — Replace "five" with "ten" throughout this section. 2. Section 308.6.4 — Replace "five" with "ten" throughout this section. 3. Section 402 — Does this Section include "strip malls?" 4. Section 420.5 — Review automatic sprinkler system for Group R occupancies.
