Selected Art Works by Leesburg Employees on Display at
Leesburg Town Exhibit Hall
Leesburg, VA (November 4, 2011) – An exhibit of art works by six Town of Leesburg employees
will open at the Leesburg Town Exhibit Hall on Friday, November 4, 2011, as part of the
monthly Leesburg’s First Friday festivities. The six featured artists are Jennifer Eaton, Anne
Geiger, Lee Ann Green, Connie Lickey, Carol Nylander, and Yordan Shichkov. The exhibit, which
will run through January 31, 2012, showcases twenty of their works.
About the Artists:
Jennifer Eaton works in digital imaging processing using a variety of post-processing software
packages to further enhance the final product. Jennifer is an Administrative Associate in the
Department of Public Works.
Anne Geiger creates hooked rugs and specializes in wide-cut contemporary work. Anne is a
Senior Engineer with the Department of Capital Project Management.
Lee Ann Green creates quilts and enjoys watching the colors and textures evolve into
something that can be used every day for comfort and warmth. Lee Ann is the Town’s Clerk of
Council.
Connie Lickey works with digital photography and is inspired by nature and the difference
colors and lighting of the seasons. Connie is an Accounting Associate in the Finance
Department.
Carol Nylander has had a lifelong interest in art and paints with oils and acrylics. Carol is an
Administrative Associate in the Utilities Department.
Yordan Shichkov prefers using watercolor, acrylic paint and bio color in his art and has been
painting since his childhood years. Yordan works in the Department of Parks and Recreation.
