A RESOLUTION RESCINDING RESOLUTION #15-2007 REGULATING THE USE
OF FIREWORKS AND COMBUSTIBLE MATERIALS WITHIN MOAB CITY LIMITS
WHEREAS, the City of Moab adopted Resolution #15-2007 on July 10, 2007; and
WHEREAS, the City of Moab adopted Resolution #15-2007 in order to regulate the use of
fireworks and combustible materials within City limits, in recognition of extremely dry conditions and
risk of fire; and
WHEREAS, said regulations were recommended by the Moab Valley Fire Protection District
Fire Chief; and
WHEREAS, the Fire Chief has recommended that the regulations be lifted due to a significant
reduction in fire risk.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MOAB CITY COUNCIL that:
Resolution #15-2007 be hereby rescinded, effective September 26, 2007.
