TREE BOARD
Regular meeting
9 a.m. Oct. 19, 2022
Board Meeting Room of Town Hall Annex, 105 E. Corbin St.
Present: Chair Casey Collins, Vice Chair Tim Logue, Sharon Billings,
Bridget Booher, Mixon Nelson and Linda Paynter
Absent: Grey Yavelak
Staff: Public Space and Sustainability Manager Stephanie Trueblood
1. Call to order, roll call and confirmation of quorum
Chair Casey Collins called the meeting to order at 9:05 a.m. Public Space and Sustainability Manager
Stephanie Trueblood called the roll and confirmed the presence of a quorum.
2. Agenda changes and approval
There was none. The agenda stood as presented.
3. Discussion items
A. Video planning: How to Plant a Tree
Collins will record the video to provide an audio track that will be overlayed with instructional photos.
B. Fall Plantings
Trueblood reviewed the planting list she started at the last meeting, noting additions that have come up since
the last meeting and the board’s suggestions this evening.
C. Arbor Day Planting and Celebration
The board agreed to celebrate Arbor Day on Nov 16, 2022, by planting a tree at 9 a.m. along Riverwalk.
4. Updates
A. Garden Club
Billings gave a brief update.
B. Invasive Removal Team
Logue gave a brief update.
C. Staff
Trueblood’s updates included:
• Tree identification project
• Tree removals
5. Adjournment
Collins adjourned the meeting at 10:30 a.m.
