A RESOLUTION:
AUTHORIZING AN APPROPRIATION FROM THE UNAPPROPRIATED
GENERAL FUND BALANCE INTO THE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT
CONTRACTUAL SERVICES ACCOUNT FOR SPONSORSHIP OF THE
DULLES GREENWAY OPENING

WHEREAS, the Town of Leesburg has been and continues to be a supporter of the development
and construction of the Dulles Greenway; and
WHEREAS, the Dulles Greenway has solicited from the town a contribution for sponsoring the
opening of the Dulles Greenway on September 29, 1995; and
WHEREAS, the Finance Committee of the Town Council held a special meeting on August 21,
1995 to consider such a sponsorship; and
WHEREAS, the Finance Committee authorized a sponsorship of $10,000 from the economic
development contractual services budget, and recommended an appropriation of the same from the
unappropriated General Fund balance into the economic development contractual services budget as
reimbursement for this unbudgeted expense:
THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia as follows:
The Town Council hereby authorizes an appropriation of $10,000 from the unappropriated
General Fund balance into the Economic Development contractual services account line item
#200.8105.300.300 as reimbursement for the town's sponsorship of the Dulles Greenway opening, per
the attached invoice.
