Leesburg Trash, Recycling, Yard Waste and Bulk Item
Collection Schedules Unchanged for Veterans Day
Leesburg, VA (November 4, 2011) – Trash, recycling, yard waste and bulk item collection in the
Town of Leesburg will not be affected by the Veterans Day holiday on Friday, November 11,
2011.
On Friday, November 11, 2011, residential customers in the Northeast and Northwest
Quadrants of Town will have recycling and yard waste collected. Trash and recycling will be
collected for curbside commercial customers in the downtown Historic District on Friday,
November 11, 2011. Customers are requested to place their trash, recycling and yard waste at
the curb after 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 10, and before 6:00 a.m. on Friday, November
11.
There is no change in the special bulk item collection schedule for Friday, November 11, 2011.
In addition to regular curbside collection of trash and recycling, through its contractor, the
Town of Leesburg provides for pickup of items that are too large to be collected with regular
trash. Collections are on Fridays only, by request, at no charge. Residents must submit
requests for special bulk item collection by 12:00 noon on Thursday, November 10, by sending
an email to trash@leesburgva.gov in order to have items collected on Friday, November 11,

As a reminder, the Leesburg Town Offices will be closed on Friday, November 11, 2011 in
observance of the Veterans Day holiday.
