Hush volunteered to post them. 9. Taylor—The Committee will need a handout for the Forum, should we use the Power Point version? After discussion, the Committee decided that a two-sided single page flyer would work out best, since people tend not to bother to read flyers that are more than one sheet. 10.Carr- Discussion of the four areas of CPA. Each area appears to be well in hand including Historic Preservation. 11.Robinson— Historic Preservation now has a committee to review applications: Robinson, Sue Carr and Pat Busch. Community Preservation Committee Minutes October 19,2005 Page 1 of 3 There is also a Group of volunteers that wants to pull together all Town records. Some people are working on the Town Records at Town Hall. There are at least two churches in Town that also have a collection of old records. They want to pull all the data together, put it on computer and then the Town website. The Library would like to be involved with this project. 12. Carr - Review of letter from COA- re: window replacement (which is already in the Town budget). 13.Robinson - is this maintenance or restoration? Is this under the CPA or not? Maybe this is not the best project for a CPA application... This is right on the edge, maintenance or restoration? 14.Ruchinskas- Maybe this is not a good first project. 15.Carr-There may be restoration projects at the COA that could include this as part of a project, but not as a stand alone item. 16.Robinson - They do need to fix up the theatre upstairs at the COA-this would be a good restoration idea -windows could be done within the scope of such work, maybe. 17.Carr-Just a reminder for the Forum -there should be no discussion of specifics, i.e. specific applications. 18.Hush -We need to tell people about the coalition website. This information should be added to the Power Point. On another subject-I have heard that someone with a condo next to Nickerson State Park wants to sell to the Town for Affordable Housing. 19. Carr-We should sift through the Chatham CPA Committee's housing set-up. They are funding a number of different areas of housing. 20. Robinson-There are many good Historic Preservation Projects out there - for instance- getting the Drummer Boy windmill working again. The Historical Society expects to use Andy Shrake as the consultant/restorer. 21. Bender-Think BIGM Find a large project-different from what the Town is already doing. Think out of the box!! 22. Bassett- Remember, anything we do still has to go to Town Meeting. 23. Lach - How are we doing PR for the Forum? How have we set up the meeting?Who will discuss the process at the hearing? Etc? 24. Robinson-The public will probably have trouble understanding the whole process. He is be speaking at the Brewster Men's Club, so they will be prepared for the Town Meeting Article. 25. Carr-As Chair, I will discuss what was the Committee has done so far, a basic introduction as to how the process will work. The each member will talk for a short time, before we open it up for questions. 26. Bender-Look at the CPA website. See what other Towns have done. Meeting adjourned at 5PM.
