A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY
AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 68 -875 ESTABLISHING UNDERGROUND
UTILITY DISTRICT NO. 1
BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Temple City as follows:
THAT the paragraph reading:
"NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved that the Council of the City of Temple
City hereby finds and determines that the public necessity, health, safety
and welfare require the removal of poles, overhead wires and associated
structures, and the underground installation of wires and facilities for
supplying electric, communication, or similar or associated service in the
area shown as properties fronting on Temple City Boulevard between Garibaldi
Avenue and Lemon Avenue, and more fully shown on map marked Exhibit A, and
such described area is hereby established as Underground Utility District
No. 1;"
SHALL be amended to read:
"NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved that the Council of the City of Temple
City hereby finds and determines that the public necessity, health, safety
and welfare require the removal of poles, overhead wires and associated
structures because the said street or roadway, or right -of -way is extensively
used by the general public and carries a heavy volume of pedestrian or
vehicular traffic; and the underground installation of wires and facilities
for supplying electric, communication, or similar or associated service in
the area shown as properties fronting on Temple City Boulevard between
Garibaldi Avenue and Lemon Avenue, and more fully shown on map marked Exhibit
A, and such described area is hereby established as Underground Utility
District No. l;"
IRESOLVED, FURTHER, that the City Clerk within ten (10) days after the
adoption of this resolution shall mail a copy hereof to the affected utility
companies.
ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Temple City on this 18th
day of March, 1969, by the following vote:
AYES: Councilmen- Beckley, Harker, Merritt, Tyrell, Briggs
NOES: Councilmen- None
ABSENT: Councilmen- None
