First 100 people in line for new restaurant at 1002 Edwards Ferry Road will win a
free year’s supply of Chick-fil-A
Leesburg, VA (November 23, 2011) – At 9:00
am, on Thursday, December 1, 2011, Town of
Leesburg officials will hold a ribbon cutting
ceremony for the grand opening of Chick-fil-A
Leesburg at 1002 Edwards Ferry Road NE.
Leesburg Mayor Kristen C. Umstattd will
officiate.
“We are thrilled to continue expanding and responding to the requests of our loyal customers
to bring Chick-fil-A closer to where they live,” said Dan T. Cathy, President and COO, Chick-fil-A,
Inc. “As we enter new regions and grow in established markets, we are grateful for our
outstanding franchised operators and their team members who provide freshly prepared food
and excellent service on both sides of the counter. Their efforts keep our customers coming
back again and again.”
The opening of the Leesburg location will bring 70 new jobs to the area.
“Chick-fil-A may have grown to be the second-largest chicken restaurant chain the country, but
our ideals today are no different than those Truett Cathy exemplified when he started the
company 43 years ago,” said Chick-fil-A Leesburg operator Danielle O’Dell. “We want our
customers to enjoy our freshly prepared food in the same friendly neighborhood environment
he created.”
“I’m sure the Leesburg community is thrilled with the opportunity to ‘Eat Mor Chikin’!,”
commented Marantha Edwards, Leesburg’s Economic Development Manager. “Chick-fil-A is a
great company with a wonderful product, an award-winning creative campaign, and a strong
community-involvement ethic. We’re happy to welcome them to Leesburg.”
