Corbin St. Present: Chair and Commissioner Matt Hughes and Dani Black Absent: Kim Tesoro Staff: Planning and Economic Development Manager Shannan Campbell 1. Call to order Chair and Commissioner Matt Hughes called the meeting to order at 5:39 p.m. Planning and Economic Development Manager Shannan Campbell confirmed the presence of a quorum. 2. Agenda changes and approval There were no changes. Motion: Member Dani Black moved to approve the agenda as presented. Chair and Commissioner Matt Hughes seconded. Vote: 2-0 3. Minutes review and approval Minutes from regular meeting on May 5, 2022 Motion: Black moved approval of the May 5, 2022, minutes as submitted. Hughes seconded. Vote: 2-0 4. Discussion/action items FY23 draft budget presentation and public hearing Hughes opened the public hearing. There were no public speakers. Hughes asked why the audit for the Tourism Development Authority costs more than the audit for the Tourism Board. Planning and Economic Development Manager Shannan Campbell stated she did not have clear answers about the audit cost and that the town manager had audit costs on his radar as she had let him know that both TDA and Tourism Board have audit cost concerns. The board members discussed and agreed that they would like to participate or get more information on how audit costs are calculated and how audit firms are selected for future fiscal years. Motion: Black moved to approve the FY23 Tourism Development Authority budget. Hughes seconded. Vote: 2-0 TOURISM DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY MINUTES | 2 of 2 5. Monthly reports A. Staff report and occupancy tax revenues reports Campbell noted occupancy tax revenues for April were very high at more than $12,000. For comparison, April revenue was over $7,000 in 2021 and over $3,000 in 2020. B. Board comments There was none. 6.
