O THE BREWSTER BOARD OF HEALTH WORK MEETING TUESDAY, OCTOBER 18, 2005 AT 7:OOPM TOWN HALL, ROOM B Present: Ed Wanamaker, Chairman, Raquel Ellis, Vice Chairman, Joanne Hughes, James Reynolds, Dan Brightman, Nancy Ellis Ice, Health Director and Tammi Mason, Administrative Clerk. 7:00 Public Hearing on Leaching Facility Setback Regulation and the Real Estate Transfer Reg's NI told the Board that CC would be discussing this at their meeting tonight and that they would like to be able to give comments before the regulation is adopted. There were many questions about the regulation and the Board agreed to look them over again and have another public hearing when ready. RE left the meeting. 7:30 Jim & Nancy Sheridan-variance request for 235 Run Hill Road Mrs. Sheridan told the Board that all abutters had been notified of her proposed barn that would be 35 feet from the property line. Motion: Grant variance, made by JH. Seconded by DB. 4 yes. 1. Discuss Frank Stroh's well application NI spoke to the Board about the well regulation that states only a licensed well driller or his agent could pull a well permit application and asked if they would consider Mr. Stroh as the "agent". The Board agreed that he was not qualified to pull the permit. Motion: Send a letter to Mr. Stroh stating that the Board cannot license the well because it was not dug by a licensed well driller, made by JH. Seconded by DB. 4 yes. 2. Discuss proposed Tanning Regulations l5: 8V EZ AON 90. Ci341 SM389 BOH 10/18/05 Minutes Page 2 NI spoke of Sarah Turano Flores's comments and suggestions. Motion: Ban tanning for under 15, 15-18 must have parental consent with a doctor's note stating that the parents were informed of all the risks, made by JH. Seconded by JR. 4 yes. 3. Discuss Tobacco Regulation The Board agreed to review these and get back to them at a later date. 4. Discuss Duxbury's Regulations The Board wanted more time to review these and agreed to bring them back at a later date. Bills to be paid: Pay bills, made by JH. Seconded by JR. 4 yes. 1. W.B. Beach sampling summaries Add on's NI told the Board that due to the potential of a second night for Town Meeting, they couldn't meet on November 15th. The Board decided on November Ast for their work meeting. NI passed out WIC information NI gave an update on the Farley's at 51 Eldridge Road- The Board asked that a letter be sent. NI gave an update on West Nile Virus information. NI passed out a power point presentation from the Pleasant Bay Coalition meeting. Flu clinic dates were announced.
