A RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING THE RATE FOR THE STORMWATER UTILITY
USER CHARGE
WHEREAS, Moab City Council and Staff have established a Stormwater
Management Utility to protect the health, safety and welfare of the city and its inhabitants
by improving the city's stormwater system, managing and controlling stormwater runoff,
protecting property, preventing polluted waters from entering the city's water supply and
other receiving waters; and
WHEREAS, the stormwater user charge for a particular utility customer is based on the
number of stormwater ERU's calculated for the subject property multiplied by the rate
per stormwater ERU; and
WHEREAS, the City Council may find it necessary to adjust the stormwater rate from
time to time as circumstances warrant.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City of Moab, upon action of the governing body,
hereby adopts the following stormwater user charge rate to be effective starting June 1,
2008 and remaining effective until changed by resolution of the City Council:
Stormwater Utility Rate: S2.00 per stormwater ERU per month
Passed and adopted by action of the Governing Body of the City of Moab in open session
