AUTHORIZINGAN APPROPRIATIONFROM THE UNAPPROPRIATED
GENERAL FUND BALANCE INTO THE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT
CONTRACTUAL SERVICES ACCOUNT FOR THE CONDUCT OF A
DOWNTOWN SURVEY

WHEREAS, thc Town of Leesburg has been and continues to be a supporter of eftbrts to
improve the old and historic downtown; and
WHEREAS, tile Economic Development Commission has created a Downtown Committee to
examin¢ and report on issues affecting downtown Leesburg: and
WHEREAS. the Economic Development Commission and its Downtown Committee have
recommended thc conduct of an extensive survey to identify important downtown issues: and
WHEREAS, thc Town Council has considered thc request for tile funding to conduct said survey
and has recognized it as an unbudgeted request:
THEREFORE, RESOLVED by tile Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia as follows:
Thc Town Council hereby authorizes an appropriation of $5,712 from the unappropriated
General Fund balance into tile Economic Development contractual
#200.8105.300.3f}() to fund thc downtown survey.
