A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE LOCAL MATCH FOR
IMPROVEMENTS THROUGH THE WILL COUNTY GOVERNMENTAL LEAGUE
SURFACE TRANSPORTATION PROGRAM
Whereas, the Village of Plainfield is a member of the Will County Governmental League; and
Whereas, the Will County Governmental League has adopted policies for the implementation of
Surface Transportation Program (STP) Projects, subject to the approval by the Illinois
Department of Transportation (IDOT) and concurrence from the Federal Highway
Administration (FHWA); and
Whereas, those policies require that to receive STP funding through the Will County
Governmental League, a project sponsor must submit an STP project application and a
resolution stating the Village will fully fund the required 20% minimum local match for
construction which will be available through the life of the project.
Now, therefore, be it resolved that the Village of Plainfield applies for STP funding for the US
Route 30 at Wallin Drive STP intersection improvements.
Be it further resolved that the Village of Plainfield hereby agrees that it will allocate funds for
the required 20% minimum local match for construction to the US Route 30 at Wallin
Drive STP intersection improvements, so long as the project is programmed in the Will
County Governmental League List of Projects.
Adopted by the Village Board this 21st day of March 2022.
