RESOLUTION No. 69 -919
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF TEMPLE CITY EULOGIZING PFC ROGER
BOOMSMA, UNITED STATES MARINE CORPS, AND
EXPRESSING CONDOLENCES TO HIS FAMILY
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY DOES RESOLVE:
WHEREAS, the death of RFC Roger Boomsma, 27th Marine Division,
on April 13, 1968, has been brought to the attention of the City
Council of the City of Temple City, and
WHEREAS, Roger Boomsma was a student at Oak Avenue Junior High
and Temple City High School, where he was graduated in 1967, and
WHEREAS, his parents reside at 6728 North Golden West in the
neighboring City of Arcadia;
NOW THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY
does hereby express its condolences to the family of PFC Roger
Boomsma, who gave his life fighting for freedom and his country
in Vietnam, and offers its eulogies to him.
The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this
Resolution.

I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly
adopted by the City Council of the City of Temple City at a
regular meeting held on the 3rd day of June , 1969, by the
following vote of the Council:
