SPECIAL MEETING
BOARD OF DIRECTORS
October 1, 1994
MINUTES
I. ROLL CALL
President Ginny Babbitt called the Special Meeting to order at 8:25 A.M. in the parking lot
at Woodside Town Hall, 2955 Woodside Road. She stated that the purpose of the meeting
was to conduct a field trip touring District lands with officials from various agencies in San
Mateo County.
Members Present: Ginny Babbitt, Teena Henshaw, Wim de Wit, Nonette Hanko, and Betsy
Crowder.
Member Absent: Pete Siemens and Robert McKibbin.
Staff Present: Craig Britton, Randy Anderson, Malcolm Smith, John Escobar, Jean Fiddes,
David Sanguinetti, and Joan Combs.
11. ORAL COMMUNICATIONS
There were no oral communications.
III. ADOPTION OF AGENDA
The agenda was adopted by Board consensus as presented.
IV. BOARD BUSINESS
Tour of District Lands
The bus tour's first stop was Purisima Creek Redwoods Open Space Preserve, followed by
an optional hike at Russian Ridge Open Space Preserve. Tour members visited the Daniels
Nature Center on Skyline Open Space Preserve, where lunch was served, and walked around
Alpine Pond. The tour then proceeded to Windy Hill Open Space Preserve, where
participants walked to the vista point.
V. ADJOURNMENT
The buses returned to Woodside Town Hall's parking lot at 1:30 P.M. and the meeting was
adjourned.
