Approval of Agenda: Mary Schantz moved the agenda be approved as printed. Sarah Hoeller seconded the motion. Motion carried. Demolition Application 1106 Myrtle – Ed Twehous, with Helias and the excavator for the project discussed the need to demolish the house which was built in approximately 1930. Terri Rademan asked why a special meeting had to be called for this demolition and why the application could not wait until the next regular meeting of the HPC. She asked if permits had been timely filed by the excavator. Mr. Twehaus indicated that city staff review had taken longer than expected. The engineering, owner review and city staff review combined to create the untimely request for the demolition application approval. Part of the owners delay was due to not knowing if they would in-fact build the entire project. Had funding not been secured for the entire project the house might not have been demolished. Bill Case moved that the demolition would have no adverse effect and the permit is approved by the Commission. Kevin Kelly seconded the motion. Motion carried. Dates to Remember: a. Next meeting, Tuesday, September 13, 2016 at 6:00 pm. Adjournment: Bill Case moved the meeting adjourn. Kevin Kelly seconded. Motion carried. Meeting adjourned at 5:45 p.m.
