AWARDING AN ANNUAL CONTRACT FOR COMPREHENSIVE CONSUTLING
ENGINEERING SERVICES
WHEREAS, the town has a contract for comprehensive consulting engineering services which is
renewed on an annual basis; and
WHEREAS, this contract helps reduce administrative costs by providing a ready source for having
engineering studies performed, having small projects designed and responding to council and citizen inquiries
in a timely manner; and
WHEREAS, a request for proposals was issued by the town for these services; and
WHEREAS, seven engineering firms submitted proposals; and
WHEREAS, a selection committee reviewed the proposals based upon the selection criteria and
ranked the firm of Paciulli, Simmons & Associates, Ltd. as best qualified; and
WHEREAS, in accordance with the town Purchasing Policy, no task estimated to cost in excess of
$15,000 will be assigned to the consultant without prior approval of Mayor and Council.
THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia as follows:
The Town Manager is authorized to execute a contract on behalf of the Town with Paciulli, Simmons
and Associates, Ltd. for comprehensive consulting engineering services as required by the Town of Leesburg.
