Leesburg Executive Airport Releases FY 2011 Annual Report
Leesburg, VA (December 15, 2011) – At the Leesburg Town Council meeting on Tuesday,
December 13, 2011, Dennis Boykin, chair of the Leesburg Airport Commission, presented the
Leesburg Executive Airport’s FY 2011 Annual Report.
In his presentation, Mr. Boykin highlighted the impact of the airport on the local Leesburg
economy; several recently completed capital improvement projects, including the Instrument
Landing System which became operational in March 2011; and plans for future improvements
to the airport.
In closing, Mr. Boykin stated, “The Airport Commission is committed to supporting the goals of
the Town Council for the airport. We believe that airports are about commerce, not just about
airplanes.”
