The BREWSTER AGRICULTURAL COMMISSION
Held Thursday, October 12, 2006 at 7:00 p.m.
At the Brewster Town Office Building, 2198 Main Street, Room A
Present: Peter Herrmann, Heather Mangelinkx, Dave Carlson John MacLellan, Julie
Trzcinski
Mr. Herrmann called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m., minutes of the October 2, 2006
meeting were accepted and unanimously approved by the board.
A discussion was held about the selectmen not supporting the by-Iaw for town meeting. It
was noted that the selectmen would like us to draft our own by-law.
The committee discussed what we should do to educate the townspeople about the
importance of farming in the Brewster community such as a brochure and farm tours.
It was announced that the Farm Bureau was holding a meeting October 17~` at the
Jailhouse for anyone interested in attending.
The committee then worked on mapping farmland in Brewster.
Motion to adjourn the meeting at 8:35pm was made by Mr. MacLellan and seconded by
Ms. Trzcinski all agreed.
