ENDORSING THE LOUDOUN COUNTY SCHOOL BOARD'S
AUGUST 9, 1997, RESOLUTION REGARDING SCHOOL ZONES
WHEREAS, correspondence dated August 15, 1997, from J. Michael Lunsford,
Director of Public Transportation for Loudoun County Public Schools, communicated the
resolution adopted by the Loudoun County School Board encouraging the implementation of
school zones county-wide; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Lunsford indicates that the school system will ultimately fund
construction, installation and maintenance of signage in appropriate locations around
Leesburg schools; and
WHEREAS, this action is encouraged by the Leesburg Town Council.
THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia as
follows:
The August 9, 1997, action of the Loudoun County School Board to install school
zones in accordance with the Code of Virginia is hereby endorsed.
