A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MCCALL, IDAHO,
ADOPTING FEES TO BE CHARGED FOR THE PURCHASE AND INSTALLATION OF
PERSONALIZED BRICK PAVERS FOR CENTENNIAL PLAZA; PROVIDING FOR
RELATED MATTERS INCLUDING RESTRICTIONS ON TEXT OR SYMBOLS
REQUESTED TO BE ENGRAVED ON BRICKS; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE
DATE.
WHEREAS, the City of McCall authorized the establishment of the Centennial Committee on
September 23, 2010 to organize a community celebration recognizing McCall's date of
incorporation on July 19, 1911; and
WHEREAS, the Centennial Committee received approval from the City Council on June 9, 2011
to design and construct Centennial Plaza as a lasting tribute to the people, places, and events of
McCall; and
WHEREAS, the Centennial Committee started a fundraising campaign to raise funds for the
construction of Centennial Plaza and which funds were administered under the umbrella of the
McCall Community Improvement Corporation, a non-profit 501 (c) 3 organization registered in
the State of Idaho; and
WHEREAS, the Centennial Committee established a fee of $100 for small pavers and $200 for
large brick pavers for the brick sales fundraising campaign; and
WHEREAS, the Centennial Committee voted on June 17, 2015 to transfer the responsibility as
well as the revenue earned from the brick paver sales program to the City of McCall to be used
to establish a fund for the ongoing maintenance of Centennial Plaza; and
WHEREAS, notice of a public hearing advising of the brick paver fees was published in The
Star News, a newspaper of general circulation within the City, on December 3 and 10, 2015; and
WHEREAS, a public hearing was held on the proposed new fees on December 17, 2015, as
required by law; and
WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that it is in the best interest of the owners of
property and of the inhabitants within the City to adopt the fees as set forth below.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF MCCALL, VALLEY COUNTY, IDAHO THAT:
Section 1: The following rates and fees are hereby adopted as the fees for Centennial Plaza
brick pavers:
4" X 8" brick paver with up to 3 lines of engraving $100

8" X 8" brick paver with up to 3 lines of engraving $200
Special symbols (small) $5.00
Special symbols (large) $10.00
Section 2: The City of McCall reserves the right to refuse acceptance of brick paver orders
that consist or contain a term, phrase, text, language, or symbol that is considered to be one of
obscenity, contempt, prejudice, hostility, insult, racial degradation, ethnic degradation, profanity,
or vulgarity.
Section 3: Revenue from brick paver sales will be used for the ongoing maintenance of
Centennial Plaza.
Section 4: This resolution shall be in full force and effect on December 17, 2015.
Passed and approved this 17 day of December, 2015.
